This week on the show, we're bringing you something a little different... Since Christmas is right around the corner, we figured, "Why not get in the spirit with a fan commentary for a fun Christmas Horror flick?"

The movie: SILENT NIGHT DEADLY NIGHT: PART 2 (yes, the one with "Garbage Day")

The commentators: Jeff (@Jeff_FOTD) and Chad (@HorrorMovieBBQ)

Tune in for all sorts of inappropriate talk about the movie, and since Chad is our resident Eric Freeman expert (he was actually the guy that tracked him down a couple of years ago and disspelled the rumors going around), he even has some insight into Eric's role here.

Of course, there's also the usual banter, and the guys talk about plans for future shows; including a possible live show at the end of the month.

This week on the show, Jeff (@Jeff_FOTD), Jesse (@DestroySuperman), and James (@DrJimmyTerror) celebrate the show's four-year anniversary by getting ridiculous and recording a Fan Commentary for the infamous angry-ass killer baboon movie, SHAKMA!

Watching along is simple because SHAKMA is available to stream on both Netflix Instant AND Amazon Instant Video... If you have either service, you can stream the movie free!

Hook up your computer/phone/iPod/etc to your home theater, or just put on some headphones to watch along... It's that easy.

Of course, you can expect all sorts of tomfoolery on this episode...

So, thanks for four great years! Here's to many more...

This week on the show, Jeff (@Jeff_FOTD), Jesse (@DestroySuperman), James (@DrJimmyTerror), and Shawn (@TheLiberalDead) finish the infamous Lionsgate Horror 8-Pack and wrap up the unofficial "Bargain Bin Madness" series. Yes, Shawn is still alive.

First, the guys tell you why they aren't too impressed with AS ABOVE SO BELOW or SIN CITY: A DAME TO KILL FOR, Jeff tells the story of finally meeting James in real life at Italian Splatterfest 3, and then everyone praises the new DVD release (finally!) of the indie horror flick, FOUND. They also give you a run down of the Halloween-centric content over at The Liberal Dead and talk about the recently announced first wave of programming at the 2014 Toronto After Dark Film Festival (which Jeff will be attending and covering).

Next up, the guys worship at the alter of Jim Wynorski and tell you why you shouldn't dismiss 976-EVIL 2 (even though the first film really isn't worth talking about), and then they revisit Anothony Hickox's wickedly funny/awesome genre mashup, WAXWORK.

As always, there's plenty of ridiculous banter, Elvis sightings, and Jesse even sings a few songs for your amusement...

This week on the show, Jeff (@Jeff_FOTD), Jesse (@DestroySuperman), and James (@DrJimmyTerror) dig deeper into the infamous Lionsgate Horror 8-Pack and continue the unofficial "Bargain Bin Madness" series (because there's nothing really worth watching in theaters).

The guys shoot the shit about what's been going on, and talk about the impending 4-year anniversary of the podcast and what's in store for the rest of 2014. For the featured reviews, they get in touch with their inner CHUD and review one of the most infamous "sequels" to ever hit theaters, CHUD II: BUD THE CHUD, and talk about how they wish Stacey Keach was their high school teacher while they review Mark Lester's CLASS OF 1999 (easily confused with CLASS OF 1984).

As always, there's plenty of ridiculousness and tangents about everything from genre films to the Inner Earth Theory...

This week on the show, Jeff (@Jeff_FOTD) and Jesse (@DestroySuperman) take a break from our unofficial "Bargain Bin Madness" series to review the summer's biggest Sci-Fi/Action blockbuster, Guardians of the Galaxy!

First, the guys surprise James (@DrJimmyTerror) by podcast-bombing him via Skype. You'll get the lowdown on why he isn't on the show this week, along with some stories about male strippers and his Blood Bucket Challenge for Scares That Care.

Next, Jesse takes a few minutes to talk about the newest Nic Cage movie (surprised?), Rage, and Jeff sticks up for the new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movie by laying out the reasons why it's actually not as bad as the Internet might have you believe... No childhoods were raped during this discussion.

Then, it's on to a full review about Guardians of the Galaxy. Jesse and Jeff tell you why you should see it, give their full reactions, and discuss how excited they are for James Gunn (and how much of a boner Jesse has for Bradley Cooper).

As always, you can expect inappropriate humor, wild tangents, and all sorts of genre film talk...

Welcome to a special Christmas-themed episode of DEAD AIR - the official podcast of The Liberal Dead!

This week, your host Jeff Konopka is joined by co-host James Harris (of Dr. Terror's Blog of Horrors) and guest Jesse Bartel (of Game Tyrant) for a special extended Holiday-themed chat and a review of the 2012 remake of Silent Night.

First, the boys discuss all of the films they have been watching during this Holiday season. The highlight of this chat revolves around the recent DVD re-release of the original Silent Night, Deadly Night: Parts 1 & 2. All three of them watched it, and they have a lot to say about both films (and the series in general).

Afterwards, the trio head into a full in-depth review of the recent "remake," Silent Night. Without spoiling the discussion, it's safe to say that there is a mixed reaction, and each of the crew has a bit of a different opinion of the film.

After the guys give their final recommendations, listeners are treated to a Silent Night, Deadly Night-themed montage of music and audio clips, including a vintage news report from 1985 on the film's re-release. Be sure to stick around for a special treat!

DEAD AIR will return in January with a brand new slate of reviews for first-run genre features!
